This guide handles the Taming the Beast quest chain from the point just right before Thotar provides a taming Rod for your Dire Mottled Boar in Razor Hill. Thotar will provide you with a number of 3 taming rods, each is different and lets you tame beasts in the next order: Dire Mottled Boar, Surf Crawler orc hunter classic and eventually an Armored Scorpid.

Once you've completed the taming Component of the Quest chain, you have got to head to Orgrimmar and speak to Ormak Grimshot while in the Valley of Honor in order to unlock your pet managing abilities: Tame Beast; Feed Pet; Revive Pet; and Beast Training.

Eventually, don't forget to visit the Pet Trainer and grab the Pet capabilities that you will have to give to your companion pet.
